Jana grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has always loved animals. This influenced her desire to work in the veterinary field. In 2014, she enrolled in the Animal Behavior College Veterinary Assistant program. During the program, she completed an externship at a local animal hospital and graduated as a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA). Jana has worked in the field since 2015 and joined the Thornwood family summer of 2020. She enjoys the relationships between herself, the patients, and their owners. When not at work, Jana enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, their two sons, Layne and Declan, Saint Bernard, Monte, and three kitties, Bean, Wall-E, and Reggie.
